“This is our living room and we want to be here.
If this paper reached you it is because you are being pushed to the margin, and in this new city that is built the space is being tidied up to leave you out.
The city is looking new, it is true, but it is not for us who want to inhabit it. It is for those who can afford the views and the price per square meter. It seems that Porto has become as hospitable to some as inaccessible to others.
Some call it rehabilitation, others call it gentrification. While in doubt, we watch those who leave for the periphery and begin to live in Porto part-time.
We want more.
We want our share in this city that is on the move, because we exist as part of it and we will not abandon it. We want to recover what is free, spontaneous and constant, without compulsory consumption, schedule, authorization or restriction. We want to get to know by their names our neighbours, dogs, cats and shit.
We do not want to see Porto flee through our fingers and turn into the restoration plaza of any mall.
We insist and sneak into the industrial ruins of this gloomy Porto to find places where people are not numbers; we do parties like we could do card playing contests; a step in the dark or a shot in the abyss, just because we believe in people and in what is around us.
Because Porto, despite being dead, is not for sale.

“Esta á a nossa sala de estar e queremos cá estar.
Se este papel te chegou a mão é porque estás a ser empurrado para a margem e nesta cidade nova que se constrói o espaço vai sendo arrumado para te deixar fora.
A cidade está nova, é verdade, mas não é para nós que a queremos habitar. É para quem pode pagar as vistas e o preço do metro quadrado. Parece que o Porto se tornou tão hospitaleiro para uns quanto inacessível para outros.
Uns chamam-lhe reabilitação, outros gentrificação. Na dúvida ficamos a ver os que partem para a periferia e passam a viver o Porto em part-time.
Nós queremos mais.
Queremos a nossa parte nesta cidade que está en movimento, porque existimos como parte dela e não a vamos abandonar. Queremos recuperar o que seja gratuito, espontâneo, livre e constante, sem consumo obrigatório, horário, autorização ou restrição. Queremos conhecer @s vizinh@s pelo nome, os cães, os gatos e o caralho. Não queremos ver o Porto fugir-nos por entre os dedos e transformar-se na praça de restauração de um shopping qualquer.
Insistimos e escabulhamos nas ruinas industriais deste Porto soturno para encontrar sitios onde as pessoas não são números, fazemos festas como poderíamos fazer encontros de sueca, um passo no escuro ou um tiro no abismo, só porque acreditamos em gente e no que nos rodeia. É que o Porto apesar de morto não está à venda.
